It supports ever carrier in the US (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular, and others), and it has 2 of the 3 LTE frequencies used in Europe (Band 3, 7, but missing 20). Really, the North American model is good enough at it is. (Go down to specs and hit the little arrow icon). You can read about what frequencies it supports here: LTE or WCDMA (3G) or EDGE), but that's it. You can change the preferred service (e.g. Meaning if a carrier starts using a new frequency, your phone will connect to it with the same SIM card (as long as the phone connects to that frequency).
The phone will connect to whatever network/frequency that it detects that carrier is transmitting on. The SIM card just tells the phone what network to connect to.
